LocDown has manufactured physical security hardware in Brea, California since 1982. Originally founded as Business Machine Security (BMS), the company builds steel enclosures, security mounts, and locking systems that protect electronic equipment in schools, hospitals, government buildings, hotels, and correctional facilities across North America.

Every LocDown product is designed and engineered at our Brea, CA headquarters. The manufacturing process includes laser cutting, CNC bending, MIG and TIG welding, high-quality powder coating, and final assembly with quality inspection. Most of our products are manufactured in the USA, and all of them are assembled and packaged at our facility in Brea.

In-house fabrication lets us hold tight tolerances, manage lead times directly, and produce custom sheet metal fabrications to buyer-supplied specifications. Most standard orders ship within 5 to 7 business days from our Brea facility (if in stock).

LocDown manufactures security hardware for projectors, laptops, desktop computers, mini PCs, gaming consoles, televisions, medical printers, Apple devices, and other shared electronic equipment that needs to stay in place. If a buyer has a non-standard configuration, we can fabricate to their specifications.

Products are designed to work without drilling through equipment casings, which preserves manufacturer warranties. The same screw-in key lock system runs across most product lines, with over 40 standard key codes available, allowing keyed-alike setups across an entire facility.

In 2013, we acquired AnchorPad, a longtime competitor that built its reputation on plate-based laptop security systems. The acquisition added AnchorPad’s cable kits, plate lock systems, and full-steel enclosures to our catalog. AnchorPad products integrate with LocDown hardware and share the same key system. The AnchorPad name continues on its product line; both lines ship from Brea.

LocDown sells primarily to institutional buyers who manage shared equipment across multiple spaces: K-12 school districts and universities, hospitals and behavioral health facilities, hotels and hospitality properties, federal and state government facilities, correctional institutions, and commercial offices. We currently serve more than 5,000 facilities across North America.
